Welcome To First Grade
Welcome to North Ridge,
My name is Amy Chumbley and this will be my 4th year as a Frenship Tiger. I have been a classroom teacher since 2005! My husband Cody and I both met at Lubbock Christian University where I graduated with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education in 2004. I have since been teaching both Prekindergarten (10 years), Kindergarten (9 years), and I am excited to start my 3rd year in 1st grade! My passion has always been working with young learners and helping to build a strong foundation in early literacy skills! My husband Cody and I have been married for almost 22 years and we have 2 boys...Caden will be a Sophomore at Abilene Christian University and spend his Fall semester studying abroad in Oxford, England. (Go Wildcats!) Keaton will be a junior at FHS! We also have a fur-baby named Max who is an important member of the Chumbley Family as well. :-) When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy singing Karaoke, playing card and board games with my family, and relaxing in the hot tub! I truly value building relationships with my students and families. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of growing and learning with my new group of Chumbley's Smarties.
