Frenship ISD Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Roundup

Frenship is hosting Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Roundup on Wednesday, May 5 at every elementary campus. To help reduce the possible spread of COVID-19, we request only the child and no more than two legal guardians attend Pre-K and Kindergarten Roundup.

Frenship Elementary Libraries Host March Madness: A Tournament of Books

Each Frenship elementary school library hosted March Madness: A Tournament of Books. This book tournament was held at the same time as the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament. This encouraged students from Pre-Kindergarten all the way to fifth grade to read a book, or listen to a book being read, and vote for their favorite one.

Every year, FHS hosts a blood drive that is open to students, faculty and staff, and community members. This year is no different, and due to the ongoing, global pandemic, the drive is more important than ever before.

Inside the Classroom: Mario Kart at Westwind Elementary

Students in Shawna Prestridge’s fourth grade class had a Super Mario Day when she set up her classroom to model a Mario Kart game, complete with six-levels of competition, to review how to revise and edit material.

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Frenship ISD staff members are still finding ways to continue growing as educational leaders through meaningful professional development training. This week, administrators, instructional coaches and content coordinators tuned in virtually to the NWEA MAP Users Conference to learn new techniques to use in the classrooms.
