Welcome to Mrs. Morales's 5th grade classroom website! My name is Sara Morales and I am a graduate of Angelo State University. I have been teaching since 2013. I have taught one year of 5th grade reading, one year of 4th grade writing, and all others are 5th grade science. 

 

I graduated from Angelo State with a degree in Agricultural Business in December of 2010. Six months later I decided to go back to school and pursue a degree in Education. Best decision I have made! 

 

I am a firm believer that education is inevitable, and students can learn from anyone or anything at any given point. My philosophy of education is based on the idea that learning should involve real life situations to help students develop and grow. So as a teacher, my main job is to provide the opportunities and support students need to make this possible.

 

Education is the process of living. I want my students to learn to think for themselves, as well as be problem solvers. The curriculum in my classroom will be child-centered, meaning the information will be taught so that it will revolve around the student's interests. My role as the teacher is to introduce the subjects of information in such a way that it will arouse the student's interests in science.
