My name is Janice Hierro and I am the Data Intervention Specialist for Northridge Elementary. I grew up in Denver City, Tx not too far from Lubbock. I graduated with a degree in Education from Texas Tech University and received my Masters in Educational Leadership from Lubbock Christian University. My very first first teaching job was at Bennett Intermediate in 1995 and have taught 18 years in this district. I also taught at Bandera ISD for 2years and Kerrville ISD for 3 years, but Frenship has always been home! I am a tiger through and through!!
On a personal note, I have a wonderful husband, Mo, three amazing daughters, Kayleigh (married to Tim), Ashleigh, and Marleigh and a step-son, Braxton. The people who really run my world are my three precious grandchildren, (Bentley, Beckham, and Baylor).
I am excited to be part of this amazing school and I can't wait to see all the learning that will be taking place this year!
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
I will wear various "hats" here at North Ridge. I will be responsible for the the following:
- I will be responsible for students in the 504 program.
- I will be responsible for all testing, such as district assessments, TEK Checks, and all things STAAR.
- I will be working closely with our Instructional Coach and teachers digging through data to address student needs to help ensure academic growth.
- I will be working closely with our Admin Team with various other duties as needed.
I look forward to getting to know all students, parents, and community members associated with North Ridge Elementary.
